Sardar Udham Singh movie was announced by director Shoojit Sircar in the year 2019. The movie has Vicky Kaushal & Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. In this biopic, Vicky Kaushal is playing the role of a rebellious freedom fighter.
While, the shoot of the movie, “Sardar Udham Singh” was finished in December 2019, the post-production took a long time. Further, due to the pandemic, the movie was delayed.
However, the makers have decided on a digital release. The movie is now skipping its theatrical release. Reportedly, the “Sardar Udham Singh” movie will premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video. The movie is scheduled to make its digital debut next month. It will be around the Dussehra festival, the movie will be streaming on the digital platform.
Incidentally, the makers of the movie waited for a considerable time to release the movie. They were looking forward to theatres reopening. Unfortunately, the situation did not become normal for a very long time.
“Sardar Udham Singh” film was shot in Russia, UK, Ireland, Germany, and North India. The film is set against the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh incident in the year 1919. In the movie, Vicky Kaushal is in the role of Sardar Udham Singh. Sardar Udham Singh killed Michael O’Dwyer to seek revenge for the incident.
