Salman Khan’s YouTube channel hits 14,000 subscribers in an hour
Salman Khan launched his official YouTube channel October 9 with an alphabet-themed teaser. It crossed 14,000 subscribers in its first hour.

Salman Khan is officially a YouTuber. The Bollywood superstar launched his verified channel on October 9, introducing it with a short clip of himself reciting the alphabet — a playful way to promise variety.
“Let’s start from the beginning… my official YouTube channel. You’ll find everything here, from A to Z.”
That was his note on Instagram as he shared the news. The reaction was instant: within the first hour, the channel crossed 14,000 subscribers, and its profile confirms it is official, describing him as a film actor, artist, painter and humanitarian.
What’s already on the channel
Ten Shorts were live at launch, leaning into the actor’s lighter side. The alphabet framing is a broad teaser, suggesting future uploads could span personal interests, creative projects and professional life as the channel finds its voice.
Joining Bollywood’s digital wave
Salman is the latest name to treat YouTube as more than a trailer archive. Alia Bhatt, Nora Fatehi, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Farah Khan all run active channels. Allu Arjun and Mohanlal do the same in the South, and television faces such as Jannat Zubair and Anushka Sen have turned vlogging into a second act.
For a star of Salman’s scale, a channel like this is a direct-to-fan play: a way to stay in front of his audience on his own schedule, between film cycles and TV seasons, without waiting for anyone’s release calendar.
Everything else he is juggling
The channel is an addition, not a pivot. Salman is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20, his 15th season leading the reality show. On the big screen, he will next appear in Maatrubhumi — previously titled Battle of Galwan — directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangda Singh. A revised release date is awaited after a delay.
He is also set to headline Monster, directed by Vamshi Paidipally with Nayanthara, scheduled for Eid 2027.
What fans should watch for
- The first wave is Shorts; longer formats could follow once the channel settles in.
- The “A to Z” promise points to mixed programming, from backstage glimpses to painting and humanitarian work.
- Subscribing now is the easiest way to track how the channel evolves between his film and TV commitments.
Salman’s digital debut gives his audience one more room in a house that already spans cinema, television and live events — except this door stays open every day.
