Sujeeth has written and directed Saaho, a 2019 Indian action drama movie. Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati produced it underneath the label UV Creations. Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor feature inside the movie, which was shot concurrently in Telugu, Tamil, as well as Hindi and marks the former’s Hindi debut and the latter’s first in South Indian cinema. Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay, and Neil Nitin Mukesh play important parts in the movie. An undercover agent and his accomplice are pursued by a crook who has stolen 2,000 crore rupees. They soon discover that perhaps the case is connected to the murder of a criminal leader as well as the emergence of a gang war.

Saaho’s principal photography started in August 2017. India, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, as well as Austria were all used for shooting. It is among the most costly Indian movies ever made, at a budget of 350 crores. The music for the movie was released underneath the T-Series label. On August 30, 2019, Saaho was launched in India in theatres as well as IMAX.

The narrative, soundtrack, length, and direction of the film were all lambasted by reviewers and moviegoers, however, Prabhas’ acting, visual effects, cinematography, and action sequences garnered some appreciation.

This was one of the highest-earning Indian films of the year, grossing 432.4 crores globally against a budget of more than 350 crores.

Narantak Roy, the underworld ruler of Waaji City, is murdered in a planned vehicle accident in Mumbai. Devraj, the son of a former crime lord, considers himself the new leader of the criminal organisation. Ibrahim tells Kalki, the Roy Group’s legal counsel, that Roy’s family has been murdered twice and he’d been keeping a secret for 25 years. He had a son named Vishwank Roy, which was kept a secret. By succeeding his father as the future leader, Vishwank foils Devraj’s intentions. Vishwank is desperate to find out who killed his father.

The plot shifts to India, where a genius easily takes two trillion rupees. It was impossible to identify the perpetrator since he robbed the money with random persons who had no idea what they were doing. To discover the perpetrator, a countrywide search is launched. The hunt is led by undercover agent Ashok Chakravarthy, who is notorious for his secrecy. They find a crook called Jai while working with Amritha Nair, an officer he likes. In the pub, Ashok meets Jai and exposes the black box, the key to the locker containing all of the criminals’ money, which is located in Waaji City. On Vishwank’s orders, Kalki flies to Mumbai and retrieves the black box.

Amritha, as well as Ashok, fall in love throughout this time.

During a quest to catch Jai red-handed, Amritha, Ashok, as well as David (a hacker) engage in a chase with Jai. In an unexpected twist, the burglar “Jai” turns out to be the genuine undercover cop Ashok Chakravarthy all along. Saaho, the head cop who’s been with them the whole time, is the true thief who took the two trillion rupees. Amritha, along with the whole police department, is startled when Saaho and his sidekick David flee.

Devraj had Roy assassinated in order to steal his reign. Amritha follows Saaho and seems to be in love with him while actually assisting Ashok. In the process, she falls in love with Saaho as well as betrays Ashok. Saaho is compelled to give Devraj the black box after Amritha is shot as well as taken away by him. He, on the other hand, deceives Devraj and hands the black box over to Vishwank. Saaho demolishes Devraj’s building and takes his money. Ashok and the cops are after him, with a sniper in a helicopter shooting for him and someone in a jetpack chasing him. Saaho triumphs over his opponent.

Amritha, who is also on board the helicopter, tries to save Saaho by diverting the sniper’s attention away from her, but the sniper drives her into danger.

With a jet pack, Saaho saves her, but he gets apprehended. Devraj’s side is revealed to be Kalki’s. She sees images of Roy and his son as she accesses the vault using Vishwank’s fingerprint and the black box. Saaho fights and beats Devraj’s thugs. When Devraj comes, Saaho confesses that he is Roy’s true son, Siddhant Nandan Saaho. He also says that he tried everything to revenge the loss of his father. Saaho’s true identity is also revealed to Ashok and Amritha. All of them are shocked when Kalki discovers a painting of Roy and Saaho in the vault. Saaho avenges his father’s death by killing Devraj.

Vishwank was not Roy’s kid, but Ibrahim’s; his true name is Iqbal, and he has been brought in to rescue Roy’s monarchy, according to Ibrahim. He discloses Saaho’s true identity towards the gang members, and Saaho rises to become the underworld’s new king. Saaho finds Amritha in Innsbruck, Austria, as well as proposes to her; they kiss. As he opens his eyes, a sniper points at Saaho, who is aware of the danger in the distance.

Tanishk Bagchi, Guru Randhawa, Badshah, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, and Ghibran wrote the songs. Tanishk Bagchi, Guru Randhawa, Badshah, and Manoj Yadav wrote the Hindi lyrics, Vinayak Sasikumar wrote the Malayalam lyrics, Madhan Karky and Vignesh Shivan wrote the Tamil lyrics, and Sreejo and Krishna Kanth wrote the Telugu lyrics. After the release of the movie, an extra track called Bang Bang (Saaho Bang) was released.
