Rema, Bappi Lahiri’s daughter, is in a bad state, according to Ila Arun

Bappi Lahiri, a veteran singer and songwriter, died on Tuesday. Obstructive Sleep Apnea was the cause of his death, according to his doctor (OSA). The singer died at the age of 69. The famed ‘Disco King’ has died, and the entire nation is in grief. On Wednesday, vocalist Ila Arun paid her tributes to the singer-composer at his home.

She had told ANI about the bereaved family, saying, “His son is expected to come tonight. His daughter is in a terrible mood and is depressed. Grief has clung to everyone in the family.”

Bappi Lahiri had last spoken to his daughter Rema Lahiri before passing away, according to reports. Bappi Das’ dying moments were discussed by a family member of the Lahiris, who told IndiaToday.in, “Bappi Da passed out in the arms of his daughter Rema. Rema, his daughter, was the last person he spoke to. The family as a whole is heartbroken.”

It added, “Bappi Da had Covid last year and after that, his condition worsened. He never recovered from it.”
Dr Deepak Namjoshi told PTI, “Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) shortly before midnight.”
Bappi Lahiri’s funeral will take place today. ANI had tweeted, “Last rites of singer-composer Bappi Lahiri will be performed tomorrow, say a relative.”

Following his death, Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, and Ajay Devgan, among others, paid tribute to the iconic musician on social media.
