Several movies that were set to be released in January were postponed because to the third wave of Covid-19. Prithviraj was however one picture, and if all went well, this would have hit the big screen on January 21, 2022. The producers, Yash Raj Films (YRF), opted to postpone it permanently due to lockdowns as well as limitations in numerous areas.
Several movies’ release dates have indeed been revealed inside the recent three to four weeks. The new release dates for all January movies were released, and fans were asking when YRF will announce when Prithviraj would’ve been released in theatres.
YRF has finally put an end to the wait. The creators of the period entertainment Prithviraj just revealed that it would be released on June 10, 2022, precisely four months from now.
Along with the announcement of the release date, the producers quickly published character posters for the main actors Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, as well as Sonu Sood. Manushi Chhillar will play Princess Sanyogita in her first film, while Akshay will play the renowned king Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. Sanjay Dutt will play Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’s loyal saamant, Kaka Kanha, while Sonu Sood will portray Chand Vardai.
There have been rumours that the movie’s title would be changed owing to opposition from the Sri Rajput Karni Sena. The character posters, on the other hand, make it obvious that the film is still titled Prithviraj. Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directs this epic historical drama.
