Nagraj Manjule, director of Jhund shares Amitabh Bachchan’s film influence on him

Fans have eagerly expecting the premiere of Amitabh Bachchan’s forthcoming film ‘Jhund’ since learning about it. For this project, Amitabh Bachchan will work with filmmaker Nagraj Manjule. In the last decade, Manjule has given us countless successes, including ‘Sairat’ and ‘Fandry,’ among others. In a recent interview, he stated. Nagraj Manjule revealed how much Amitabh Bachchan has influenced him since he was a child, and how he is the reason for the director’s love of cinema.

Manjule claimed that he was the local Bachcan of his hamlet, Jeur, in Maharashtra’s Solapur district, in an interview with PTI. “His films have had a huge influence on me, the start of my love for cinema. In my growing up years, till the time I was in tenth standard– before I failed and moved away from cinema—he was my world,” he expressed passionately.

He admitted that he was such a big Bachchan admirer that he wouldn’t miss a single one of his films. He went on to say that Big B’s films like ‘Satte Pe Satta,’ ‘Khuda Gawah,’ ‘Deewaar,’ ‘Main Azaad Hoon,’ and ‘Yaarana’ had a huge influence on him.

He went on to say that he had seen ‘Satte Pe Satta’ at least 50 times. He also revealed that he sneaked inside movie theatres to capture Bachchan’s as murderer Babu’s entrance sequence.

He also added that he would copy his style because he was a “bada deewana” He said he’d often get punished, but that didn’t stop him. “Basically, main apne aapko Bachchan samjhta tha,” he expressed.
