He sends her a photo of Shankar, knowing she would reject him right away. Gauri immediately agrees, and the wedding goes through.

Unfortunately, before the ceremony is completed, she realises Shankar is not her husband and passes out; Raja urges the priest to continue, despite the fact that the marriage would’ve been null and void while Gauri remains unconscious. When she regains consciousness, she witnesses Raja attempting to consummate their relationship and therefore is taken aback by the fact that they are married. He holds her captive and tortures her.

Gauri attempts suicide, however, Shankar intervenes and saves her. She blames him for wrecking her life, but she later apologises after learning of his innocence.

When Gauri’s brother Ashok visits her, Raja promises to murder Ashok unless she lies to him that she is happy. This is what Gauri does.

Shankar, on the other hand, tells Ashok the truth by writing in the ground. Raja and Brijwa assassinate Ashok when he returns to save Gauri. He has Shankar pledge to save Gauri moments before he dies; she and Shankar depart Raja’s residence. Raja becomes enraged and launches a violent quest for Gauri and Shankar.

Shankar utilises his survival abilities to kill Raja’s troops after a protracted chase through the woods and mountains. Due to their disadvantage, Raja and his troops flee. Gauri and Shankar begin to fall in love at this time.

Raja, who has returned with reinforcements, unexpectedly spots them and catches them by shooting Gauri in the arm. The healer, after learning that Shankar is not born deaf, is able to restore some of Shankar’s injured nerves in his throat, allowing him to talk.

Shankar recalls his father discovering diamonds in a coal mine when he was a child, but that he and his wife were murdered in front of Shankar by two mysterious men; even before young Shankar threatened to tell his parents’ colleagues what they did, someone came up behind him and shoved hot coals into his throat, rendering him mute. At the same time, Shankar realises that Raja was the one who turned him mute and ordered his parents’ deaths so that he could steal their fortune.

He murders Raja’s second henchman with Gauri’s aid and then exposes Raja’s misdeeds to Raja’s coal miners, where Gauri arrives with her uncle and aunt, compelling them to disclose their role in pushing her to marry Raja.

Raja’s doctor, as well as their son, turn on him, informing everyone else that Raja has not only fooled Gauri but has also been involved in several murders and rapes, before ordering everyone to throw stones toward him and his soldiers.

Inside the ensuing chaos, the DIG attempts to scare everyone away by throwing grenades but is killed by Shankar, who then pursues and eventually corners Raja, who begs for his life, attempting to persuade Shankar to save him by pointing out that he adopted him as well as saved his life, and although Shankar dismisses this by countering that Raja embraced him to start making him a slave, and after dodging a pickaxe thrown at him by Raja, Finally at peace, Shankar and Gauri hug one other.
