Kangana Ranaut to direct “Emergency”: ‘No one can do it better than me’

Actor Kangana Ranaut recently announced her next directorial venture. The actress will be directing “Emergency”, a film based on Indira Gandhi’s life.  This is Kangana’s second film as a director.  The actress earlier directed the film “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira (sic).”

The actress revealed that the film will be written by Ritesh Shah.  Ritesh has penned films like Pink, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, D-Day among others. Ritesh also has to his credit  Kangana’s other film Dhaakad. In an earlier statement, Kangana Ranaut had clarified, “It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is a grand period film.
