Is Bollywood famous in Dubai?

Over the last 18 months or so, traders from all across the globe have already been competing for the greatest properties in Dubai, but one nation in particular looks to be contributing much more than the fair share of investors.

India’s wealthy have indeed been eager to diversify their portfolios with new UAE-based investments, and that it’s easy to understand why.

Dubai is indeed a short flight away from heavily populated Indian cities such as Delhi, as well as investors are profiting from such an increasing number of airline routes.

Actors inside the Mumbai-based Bollywood business have shown a great interest in real estate. Because the city is located on India’s west coast, property searchers simply need to travel a short distance across the Arabian Sea to reach the emirate.

Bollywood star Salman Khan was believed to have been hunting for posh lodgings in Dubai earlier this year, according to Emirates 24/7, as well as he is very far from the first member of India’s legendary movie industry to do just that.

Akshay Kumar is indeed the latest star to investigate the sheikhdom’s huge property market, according to the same news source. ‘Dubai is just such a bustling city and therefore inviting, it almost seems like a second home now, considering the number of times we have been on here,’ he was reported as adding.

‘It’s for this reason that we’ve decided to buy a house here.’ Mr Kumar further mentioned that Dubai’s significant population of Pakistanis and Indians makes it even more tempting. ‘It feels like I haven’t left home since the ambience is so welcoming,’ he continued.

Bollywood has a significant influence on the Middle East. I’ve been a resident in the UAE for quite some time, and as a movie enthusiast, living here has never been a hardship in this regard.

Almost every film that is released in India is also released in the United States. This holds true for Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu films as well.

This is also true for nations like Oman and Qatar. Saudi Arabia recently authorised theatres to open, and because I am engaged in the construction of some of the country’s largest cinemas, I can fairly claim that Bollywood films were among the first to be distributed there.

To give you an idea, I went to see ‘Bareilly ki Barfi’ with some friends, and samosas and chai were being offered directly inside the theatre.
