Teacher’s day is celebrated across the nation on September 5 in memory of former Indian President Dr S Radhakrishnan. Not just as a birth anniversary of the President, this special day is also celebrated in honor of all the teachers who have always supported and inspired us and hold an important place in our lives.
In order to express gratitude towards their teachers and parents, several celebs took to their social media and extended wishes.
Madhuri Dixit took to her Twitter handle and expressed gratitude towards her gurus. The dancing diva wrote, “Today on this special occasion I want to thank all the teachers who have given us many important lessons about our lives. Let’s together celebrate this day and show our gratitude towards our teachers. #HappyTeachersDay.”
Taapsee Pannu, who is gearing up for a sports drama, expressed her gratitude towards her coach, who helped to bring out the best of her. The actress wrote, “Behind every fearless player, there is a fearless coach! Veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini also took to the micro-blogging site and extended the wishes. “Wishing all our great teachers over the years who have mentored us and taught us so much in life Happy Teachers Day,” she added.
Esha Deol took to her Instagram handle and shared throwback black-and-white pictures with her mom and guru Hema Malini. Sharing the beautiful pictures, the actress penned, “From my first step as a tiny dancer to who I am today as a mother, it’s all because of you. The knowledge, the ethics, and the discipline I have learned from you have always been a blessing for me. My mother, my first teacher!”
