Amol Palekar, a veteran actor and director renowned for movies like Rajnigandha, Chitchor, as well as Gol Maal, has indeed been hospitalised at Pune’s Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. According to accounts, he has been unwell for a long time. The 77-year-old actor’s condition is stated to be stable and that he is improving. Sandhya Gokhale, his wife, verified the news. The actor was most recently shown in the movie 200-Halla Ho, with Barun Sobti, Ishtiyak Khan, and Sahil Khattar.

In an interview with ABP, Amol Palekar’s wife stated that and no need to be concerned regarding his health. “He is improving and is now in a better condition than previously.” This is really a long-standing sickness.

He was also brought to the hospital 10 years ago due to heavy smoking. “However, his condition is currently fine,” she added. Palekar has also worked on and contributed to both popular and independent Marathi movies. In 1971, he made his acting debut inside the movie Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe. In 1974, he made his Bollywood debut in Rajnigandha, alongside Rakhee.

Returning to 200 Halla Ho, the film was released on Zee5 and is based on a true storey in which 200 Dalit women in Nagpur lynched Akku Yadav, a thug, robber, serial rapist, and murderer in an open court in 2004. Amol Palekar has won one Filmfare award as well as six state awards for his work as just the Best Actor. He received critical recognition for his performances with regional language movies in Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam, as well as Kannada.
