Akshay Kumar returned to Mumbai a couple of days ago to be with his ailing mother’s side who was admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Hiranandani hospital. Sadly, she passed away on Wednesday, (September 8). The actor is going through a difficult time as he was very close to his mother Aruna Bhatia. Now, as per reports, he will jet off to London on Friday to resume shooting for his upcoming film.
A source close to Akshay informed an entertainment portal, “Akshay is a thorough professional and believes in the saying that the show must go on. He also understands the gravity of the financial scenario when the film shoots are put on hold, especially in tough times like the ongoing pandemic – since 100s of people are involved in the production team and crew.”
“He was with his mother in her last few days, performed all the rituals over the last couple of days, and is now all ready to resume work. He will be taking off to the UK tomorrow morning and will resume shooting after following the quarantine guidelines of the local authorities,” the source further added.
Meanwhile, Akshay has interesting projects lined up. The actor will be seen in Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan. He also has Ram Setu, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, and Oh My God 2 in his kitty. Akshay is awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi co-starring Katrina Kaif.
