Akele Hum Akele Tum

Mansoor Khan helmed Akele Hum Akele Tum, a 1995 Bollywood Hindi-language love drama movie featuring Aamir Khan, Manisha Koirala, as well as Master Adil. Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote the words and Anu Malik composed the music. The movie is indeed an unauthorised remake of the five-time Academy Award-winning Hollywood film Kramer vs. Kramer, which was released in 1979. Both Aamir and Manisha’s performances were praised, with the latter receiving a nomination for such Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Aamir Khan plays Rohit Kumar, an aspiring playback singer, and Manisha Koirala plays Kiran, a classical vocalist-in-training. They encounter, connect with one other’s feelings, fall in love, and marry too soon. Kiran’s parents object to their marriage, so they opt to live apart.

Kiran’s objectives, nevertheless, take a back seat upon marriage, since she feels suffocated by her home obligations and caring for her son. Kiran’s dissatisfaction with Rohit grows till she chooses to leave him and start a new life. Rohit is now a loner, responsible for both his son and his failing job. Rohit succeeds in building a distinct universe about himself and his kid, Sunil, and after little evident teething problems.

Meanwhile, Kiran becomes a huge film star. She tries to reconcile with Rohit, but as luck would have it, Rohit is a proud man who misinterprets her support as pity, and things quickly spiral out of control. A court case is eventually filed for the custody of Sunil.

Rohit will find it difficult to prepare for this case because his financial situation is not as stable as Kiran’s. He sells his best songs at a very low price so that he can fight the custody battle. During the court fight, Kiran’s attorney Bhujbal (Paresh Rawal) employs every conceivable tactic to establish that Rohit does not deserve the custody of his kid.

He even uses the information Rohit gave Kiran against him because he believes she has a right to know about her son’s life. Rohit instructs his lawyer to fight the case honestly as he does not wish to hurt Kiran and her reputation. In the end, the court finds in favour of the mother and Kiran is awarded custody of the kid. Throughout this moment, Rohit’s common friends attempt to persuade Kiran that Rohit must have gotten better and now is strongly attached to his son. Kiran as well recognises that one‘s son will never again be happy if he spends all of his time with her.

She informs Rohit that she won’t take Sonu away & that he must remain with his own house, toward which Rohit responds that this was Kiran’s house. Kiran appears to be about to leave the house but then closes the door and smiles.

Rohit and Kiran hug one another their son, as well as the film, comes to an end.
