Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, will get a second season, which has been announced. Loki will begin preparation for its second season in February 2022, with production beginning in June, according to reports from late last year.
According to the casting website Backstage, the second season will begin filming in the summer. While no particular dates have been disclosed, Pinewood Studios in England has been confirmed as the location for the production. With a mid-year premiere date, and assuming no COVID-related delays, it’s reasonable to predict that season 2 won’t premiere until early 2023.
Loki is indeed a television series centered upon that Marvel Comics superhero of the same name produced by Michael Waldron for both the Disney+ streaming service. It’s indeed Marvel Studios’ third television series set inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it follows the events of the films in the series. The series picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternative version of Loki rewrote history.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, Jack Veal, DeObia Oparei, Richard E. Grant, and Jonathan Majors also feature, with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki from the film series. Loki made its debut on June 9, 2021.
Its first season, consisting of six episodes, concluded on July 14 and is part of Phase Four of the MCU. It received positive reviews, with praise for the performances, musical score, and visuals.
