Malayalam actress Saranya Sasi breathed her last on Monday, August 9 at a hospital in Trivandrum, Kerala. The actress was diagnosed with a brain tumor a decade ago and underwent 11 major surgeries. In June, she was admitted after she contracted Covid-19. Though she recovered from the novel coronavirus, she had other major health-related ailments. She was 35.
Saranya Sasi was a famous actress in the Malayalam film and television industry. The actress who was in her mid-thirties hailed from Kannur.
It was back in 2012 while shooting for a TV serial that she suddenly collapsed and later it was found that, there was a tumor in the brain. Since then she underwent close to 11 surgeries and in between, she also resumed her acting career briefly, but could not continue for long.

Ever since she was diagnosed with a tumor, she had been facing a major financial crisis. The actress also sought the help of many people in the industry.
Saranya Sasi was one of the popular actresses in Malayalam TV. Some of her television shows include Seetha, Manthrakodi, and Harichandanam. She also played supporting roles in Bombay, Chacko Randaman, Chotta Mumbai, and Thalappavu.
