Bollywood’s globe musicals are only a small part of Indian entertainment. There are regional performances in a variety of languages from across the country, incredible short films, and, most recently, some very outstanding television – but let’s start off small. Amazon Original Movies provides a large library of Hindi movies, which are the most popular language for Indian films and include a wide range of genres. Want to see what all the hype is about with a Bollywood classic?

You’ve come to the right place! If you’re looking for a hidden treasure with a tragic finish, go no further. That’s also something we’ve got. A couple of titles were even duplicated in Netflix’s catalogue, so be careful to verify them both out! Amazon Original Movies to watch in India are.

1. Raazi

This film, written and directed by Meghna Gulzar, is one of the greatest popular Bollywood movies of the decade. During the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, Alia Bhatt plays Sehmat Khan, a young lady hired to spy for India. Sehmat marries a Pakistani household and is charged by her father, who dies soon after the wedding, spying on them.

The training sequences, tight monitoring, and brushes with death are all present in Raazi, but Bhatt’s portrayal roots the toll of espionage in a manner that few films do. This ranks

2. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…

Karan Johar’s three-and-a-half-hour epic, best known as K3G, is the human drama of the 2000s, and it’s basically two movies: First, there’s the narrative of Rahul (Shahrukh Khan), the oldest son of the rich Raichand family, who falls in love with eccentric country girl Anjali (Kajol) and is rejected by his father, Yash (Amitabh Bachchan). In the second part, Rahul’s adult brother Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) travels to London to restore the family, nearly in the spirit of the Parent Trap, while wooing Anjali’s empress sister Pooja (Kareena Kapoor).

Despite the fact that the film was allegedly created to bring together the hottest love couplings from three generations of performers (Bachchan’s real-life wife Jaya portrays the Raichand matriarch), Johar’s tonally crazy film resembles Bollywood to a T. The first half is ignited by Khan and Kajol’s legendary chemistry, while the second half has Rohan and Pooja, who are plain silly (but so, so enjoyable). Both Kapoor and Roshan were big at the moment, but the latter was frequently typecast as a sex object and love interest without the depth that she obviously has. K3G enables her to show off her versatility, and the “Poo” moments have become so legendary that even ardent Bollywood fans imitate her like Mean Girls.

3. Gully Boy

Murad, a college freshman in the Bombay slum who finds consolation in rap music, is played by Ranveer Singh. He got his start at lyrics and performances as he discovers much more about the genre, displaying a natural aptitude that propels him to local popularity — and then some. Singh, Alia Bhatt, and filmmaker Zoya Akhtar are three heavyweights of Indian cinema today, and their combination is as potent as you might imagine. The album includes a single featuring executive producer Nas, as well as hundreds of Indian rappers and artists from around the nation.
