The story, without the spoilers
The film begins a thousand years in the past, where a tribal couple’s mysterious child sets an ancient evil in motion. It then cuts to present-day Chennai, where Magi, a young man working at a printing press, is hunting for an affordable place to live.
Sindhu, a mysterious woman in a luxury apartment, offers him a room at a strangely low rent. Magi takes the deal, and as the two grow close, odd incidents make him question what Sindhu is hiding. The answer is dangerous: she is a supernatural being tied to that ancient evil, using her appearance to draw men in and feed on them.
The twist that keeps the film in romantic-horror territory is that Sindhu develops real feelings for Magi, placing her affection and her instincts in conflict. Magi eventually confronts her in a fight for survival.
