Set in the coastal town of Rameswaram, Enna Vilai follows Thavasi Muthu, a hardworking family man who dives into the sea to collect coins thrown by temple visitors so he can support his children. His ordinary routine changes when he finds a valuable gold pendant underwater.

Instead of selling it or keeping it, Thavasi hands the ornament to the local authorities. That decision, meant to be the right one, brings scrutiny and complications that put his family’s peace and his reputation at risk.

As the pressure grows, a determined official steps in to help him prove his honesty, turning the film into an emotional social drama about ordinary people who find themselves up against powerful forces.
