6 South OTT Releases to Queue Up This Week
From Vijay Sethupathi's Baththa to GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar's Immortal, six Tamil and Telugu titles stream this week.

The last week of October is shaping up as a proper South Indian OTT week. Six Tamil and Telugu titles land across Netflix, JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV and ETV Win, mixing star-led dramas, adaptations and genre plays. Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa arrives on October 29, and the very next day brings four more releases, including the GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar romantic horror Immortal.
What’s streaming and where
The week splits neatly across two dates. Here is the full list, platform by platform.
- Baththa (Tamil, Netflix, October 29): Vijay Sethupathi plays Baththavachalam, a feared Madras figure whose life shifts after a young boy accidentally locks him inside a school bathroom and secretly feeds him rusks for days. Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, it is a late-1980s comedy drama.
- Thella Kaagitham (Telugu, ETV Win, October 29): A school romance between Ramu and Aasha grows complicated in college, leading to an unexpected pregnancy the teenagers must handle without their families. Directed by Ramesh Bandreddi.
- Love Always (Tamil, JioHotstar, October 30): A strained married couple is transported back to their younger selves, an adaptation of the Korean webtoon Here We Go Again. Directed by Madhumita Sundararaman.
- Avaraachan & Sons (Malayalam, Netflix, October 30): A wayward father’s recklessness forces him out of his coastal village and into his sister’s home in North Kerala, opening a path to reconciliation. Biju Menon and Sreenath Bhasi lead the cast.
- Rudravanam PS (Telugu, ZEE5, October 30): A reported gold robbery of Rs 25 lakh turns into a darker missing-person case when a headless body is found in a forest. Officer Sivakumar must piece together the deception.
- Immortal (Tamil, SonyLIV, October 30): GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar star as Magi and Sindhu. A low-rent room in a luxurious apartment comes with a supernatural secret in this romantic horror.
Why this week matters
It is a reminder that South Indian OTT is no longer a side slate. The six titles spread across five platforms in one release window, covering comedy, romance, thriller and horror. That breadth gives viewers a reason to compare app line-ups before deciding what to play, and it gives platforms a chance to win the weekend with distinct offerings rather than one big title.
For our audience, the practical takeaway is simple: the dates matter. Two titles drop on October 29, and the rest arrive on October 30. If you want to sample everything, start with the Tuesday drops and leave the Thursday cluster for a weekend binge.
Choose your watch by mood
If you want a warm comedy-drama, Baththa is the priority. If you are in the mood for something darker, Immortal offers horror with a romantic core, while Rudravanam PS is the thriller pick. If you want a relationship story with a fantasy twist, Love Always fits. Just note that Thella Kaagitham deals with teen pregnancy, so it may be heavier than its school-romance start suggests.
