While debates around actors’ working hours spark headlines, the team behind The Raja Saab is making a case for old-school filmmaking grind. In a surprising revelation during the film’s teaser event, the producers shared that director Maruthi worked an exhausting 16–18 hours a day, for over 120 days straight, to ensure the film’s massive scale and quality.
Starring Prabhas in a never-before-seen horror-comedy role, The Raja Saab has been in the making for over two and a half years. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad shared that the schedule—especially between July and December last year—was the most demanding. “He began at 6 AM and ended past 11 PM, day after day. It’s a commitment very few can match in today’s times,” he said.
The film boasts a visually rich 40-minute climax and involved over 300 days of VFX work to bring its haunted palace setting to life. The plot follows a man chasing ancestral wealth who gets trapped in a haunted mansion—blending horror, humour, and fantasy in a commercial format.
With a December 2025 release now confirmed, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be a high-octane entertainer that also stands as a testament to director Maruthi’s relentless dedication. In an industry where shortcut shoots are common, this project proves that time, effort, and passion still matter.
