The CBI rejects giving information in response to an RTI request in the Sushant Singh Rajput case

Sushant Singh Rajput had been dead for over two years when he died. His untimely death on June 14, 2020, devastated the nation’s hearts and sparked a flurry of suspicions regarding his abrupt death. According to reports, the CIA had taken over the investigation and was looking into every element of the case. Sushant Singh Rajput’s case has recently resurfaced in the news after the investigating agency received an RTI request for information on the case’s status.

According to a recent update, the CBI responded to the RTI request by refusing to provide specifics regarding the investigative process, claiming that doing so would jeopardise the inquiry. The inquiry, however, is still ongoing, according to the agency. According to ANI, the CBI was noted in its response to the RTI request. “Sushant Singh Rajput case is in the process of investigation, information about the progress may impede the process of investigation. Information requested cannot be provided”.
