According to reports, American artist Snoop Dogg and his longtime pal Bishop Don Juan have been charged with sexual assault and battery.
According to the magazine People, a lady named Jane Doe has filed a complaint against the rapper and his companion, alleging that they raped her in 2013. Jane also claimed in the lawsuit filed in California on Thursday that she worked as a stage dancer for Snoop Dogg and Don Juan’s gigs and received gifts in exchange.
Jane claimed she and a buddy attended a performance by the rapper at Club Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California, in May 2013. During the event, they walked to the VIP area and “run into” Don Juan.
Don Juan allegedly invited Jane and her companion to Snoop’s studio, where Jane’s friend stayed until “about midnight,” according to the complaint. She went on to say that Don Juan said, “I can take you home or I can take you back to my apartment with me,” to which she answered that she preferred to be brought home.
According to the lawsuit, she fell asleep in the car and when she awoke, they travelled to Don Juan’s house, where a “exhausted” Jane fell asleep again. Jane claims she awoke to him forcing her to have oral sex with him before he rolled over and walked away.
She went on to say that Don Juan asked her to dress up and follow him to a recording studio where Snoop Dogg was taping his television show Snoop Dogg’s Double G News Network. She then went to the toilet because she was sick, and she claims that Snoop followed her in and forced her to have oral sex with him, which she did because she was afraid for her life.
The lawsuit alleged Snoop’s “actions were sexually predatorial,” stating that Jane “found herself thinking about her job security if she displeased [Snoop]. [She] felt pressured … due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again.”
Jane and the defendants chose to settle the problem in a private mediation on Tuesday (Feb. 8) and Wednesday (Feb. 9) after Jane was given a Right to Sue in December, according to People’s report (Feb. 9). Snoop uploaded a photo of notes on Instagram shortly after the encounter, accusing Jane Doe of being a “Gold digger,” and including a police officer, money bag, and judge emoji in his message.
