As Honorary Ambassador, Kriti Sanon’s two-year engagement with UNFPA India encompasses a series of strategic initiatives aimed at advancing the cause of women and girls across the country. Her involvement will include field visits to UNFPA programme sites, enabling direct interaction with communities, as well as raising awareness through targeted campaigns and opinion editorials. Additionally, she will actively participate in UNFPA’s events and advocacy efforts at both national and international forums to further champion the empowerment of women and girls.
For over five decades, UNFPA India has collaborated closely with the Government of India and civil society partners to promote gender equality, eradicate gender-based violence, and broaden opportunities for women and girls. In partnership with Ms. Sanon, UNFPA is steadfast in its commitment to creating a future where every woman and girl in India can live with dignity, exercise autonomy, and fulfil her potential.
