Businessman Raj Kundra Is Arrested By Mumbai Police For ‘Making Porn Films’

As per reports, Mumbai Police has arrested Businessman Raj Kundra in the crime of ‘Making Porn Films’. Raj Kundra is also the husband of popular Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Read below to know more details about it.

Amid the ongoing events happening in Mumbai, where the natural disaster Mumbai Floods have devastated many lives in the city. On 19th July night, Shilpa Shetty’s spouse Businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police for creating pornographic films and publishing them through the means of mobile apps.

A statement of Mumbai Commission of Police read, According to ANI, “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress please.”

According to Mumbai Police, the arrest was made based on a case registered in February and since the case was backed by “sufficient evidence.” After the arrest of Umesh Kamat who is an associate of Kundra, his key role in the porn racket surfaced. After several hours of interrogation, Kundra was finally arrested on Monday, police officials said.

As per the source, the whole turn of the event was “Soon after his arrest, Raj Kundra was taken for medical examination at JJ hospital by the Property Cell of Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch.” The source further added, “He was later taken to Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office and spent the night in the custody of the Crime Branch, Mumbai.” Further concluded by informing that “On Tuesday, 20th July, Raj Kundra will be produced before the 37th Esplanade metropolitan magistrate’s court.”

According to Indian court laws, the selling and distribution of pornographic material are considered illegal in the country. This is despite the Supreme Court refusing to block pornographic websites, the Indian government issued an order in 2015 to block several such porn-related websites that issue explicit content on the Internet.
