Padmashri Sonu Nigam is widely regarded as one of the country’s best vocalists and performers. His millions of admirers all around the world adore his live performances, and he remains one of India’s most in-demand artists. This distinction, however, comes with a fair number of situations that would leave anyone with a sour taste in their mouth. BMC chairman Iqbal Singh Chahal tied Nigam to his cousin, Rajinder, in a recent incident.
A source close to Sonu elaborates, “Sonu ji received correspondence from Iqbal Singh Chahal ji requesting him to perform at a concert abroad via his cousin Rajinder. Sonu ji has always worked with an international promoter named Rocky and requested that the query should be taken up with him instead. This exchange did not go down well with Mr. Rajinder who sent derogatory and slanderous messages to Sonu ji. Some of the things said in the messages are threatening in nature and ones that need to be investigated. The language used by Mr. Rajinder in these messages has been undignified, and came as a shock to Sonuji, who is one of the most respected and loved artists of our country.”
Sonu has the audio and screenshots of Mr. Rajinder’s filthy texts as well. Mr. Rajinder is currently residing in Mumbai with Iqbal Singh ji, according to latest reports. The insider further claims that Sonu has never replied to these threats, despite the fact that the guy has previously messaged him. “Iqbal Singh Chahal ji and his efforts for the city of Mumbai have a lot of love and affection from Sonu ji, especially with the manner he handled the covid situation.” Because of this, he has never taken any action in the past, but things have gotten out of hand this time.
After the first few interactions, it was clear that someone of Sonu’s magnitude would not be able to deal with Mr. Rajinder, who is so awful. In reality, Mr. Rajinder’s threats have also been directed towards vocalist Palak Muchhal. He’s sent similar letters to Palak Muchhal’s mother in the past. If that wasn’t enough, Sonuji has the testimonies of a number of individuals who have suffered at the hands of Rajinder, who has been blackmailing people in the guise of his cousin Iqbal Chahal ji.
