Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has made a donation of Rs. 2 crore for the Covid-19 care facility at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj in Delhi, which will open on Monday.
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared and said, “Sikhs are Legendary, These were the words of Amitabh Bachchan when he contributed ₹ 2 crores to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Facility,” said Mr Sirsa, who is also the national spokesperson for Akali Dal party.
Mr Sirsa also said that the actor use to call him ask about the progress of this facility. He added, “While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this facility.
In another twitter post, He also mentioned that actor Amitabh Bachchan has arranged oxygen cylinders from abroad for the facility. “He is not just a REEL Hero but a Real life Hero,”

Earlier, the actor took to his Twitter handle and urged the global citizens to come forward and help the nation to fight the pandemic. He said, “My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of COVID-19. As a global citizen, I appeal to all global citizens to rise up, speak to your governments, your pharmaceutical companies, and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts,”
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati 13. He will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The actor will also be seen in Chehre with Emraan Hashmi and Rhea Chakraborty. Amitabh also star in Ajay Devgn’s directorial film, MayDay, Nagraj Manjule’s Jhund, Nag Ashwin’s next and The Intern remake.
