It’s unfortunate news and a significant loss for the film and television fraternity, as Actor Anupam Shyam dies at 63 due to multiple organ failure. Many celebrities expressed their condolences on the same.
Veteran Actor Anupam Shyam, who played Thakur Sajjan Singh in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2, died Today. After being hospitalised for kidney-related ailments, the actor spent several days in the Intensive Care Unit. Before succumbing to multiple organ failure, he was placed on a ventilator for a few days.
Anupam Shyam was sent to the hospital in March of last year after suffering from acute kidney problems. His family had also requested financial assistance at the time, as they were unable to pay their hospital fees. Following his recuperation, he was required to have dialysis on a daily basis. When Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya season 2 premiered in 2021, he had returned to work. He reportedly accepted the part in Season 2 despite his deteriorating health because he did not want to disappoint his adoring fans.
According to actor Yashpal Sharma, who was a close friend of the famous actor. Actor Anupam Shyam died at Lifeline hospital in Goregaon about 1.30 a.m. “I just returned home from the hospital. The doctors informed us he died due to multiple organ failure. His body will be brought to his residence, New Dindoshi, MHADA colony, at 5-6 in the morning, followed by the funeral later during the day around 11:30-12 PM.”
He explained that he had raced to the hospital after hearing that the star had died. When he arrived, he discovered him still alive, but the medics proclaimed him dead shortly after. He informed ANI, “I got to know that he’s no more. So we rushed here and found he was still breathing. The doctor later declared him dead. He was hospitalised for 4 days. He had high blood sugar and used to take injections during shooting of his last film.”
In a released statement, Rajan Shahi, the producer of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2, said that “I am deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Anupam Shyamji. May his family get all the strength to sail through these difficult times. I remember when we started with Pratigya season 2, he was extremely happy to work again and play his favourite character, Sajjan Singh. He was always so lively and full of enthusiasm and will be remembered for his remarkable performances. May his soul rest in peace.”
Actor Anupam Shyam had a health scare last year, and his brother had to apply for financial assistance. The actor recovered and recently joined the cast of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 as Sajjan Singh. He had stated that his health had improved while undergoing regular dialysis.
Actor Anupam Shyam’s acting career began in 1993, and he has appeared in Bollywood films such as Dastak, Dil Se…, Lagaan, Golmaal, and Munna Michael. He has also appeared in Rishtey, Doli Armaano Ki, Krishna Chali London, and Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath, in addition to Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.
