Scene’s ‘Aeroplane’ single drops ahead of Nov 6 Diwali release

Suriya's new Scene track Aeroplane is out, pairing Sushin Shyam's music with Gaana Bala's voice as Inbaraj falls for Maya ahead of the Nov 6 release.

Suriya's 'Aeroplane' single arrives before Scene's Nov 6 release

The second song from Suriya’s upcoming action-comedy Scene is here, and it leans straight into the film’s playful side. Titled ‘Aeroplane’, the track was released just a couple of weeks ahead of the movie’s November 6, 2026 theatrical debut, a Diwali release date the team confirmed with its earlier teaser.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, who broke out with Aavesham, Scene stars Suriya as Inbaraj. In the new single, Inbaraj is completely smitten with Maya, played by Nazriya Nazim Fahadh. Sushin Shyam has composed the number, Gaana Bala has provided the vocals, and Rajpriyan has written the lyrics.

Why the single matters

The track gives audiences a clearer sense of the film’s tone. The teaser introduced Inbaraj as an eccentric officer who is excellent at catching criminals but rarely follows the rulebook. ‘Aeroplane’ now shows the softer side of that chaos, positioning romance as another part of the ride rather than a separate track. For a film opening on Diwali, that blend of humour, action and music could be exactly the packaging audiences want from a festival release.

What we know about Scene

The cast adds strength to the project. Alongside Suriya and Nazriya Nazim Fahadh, Naslen is expected to play an antagonist, with Anandaraj, Lal, John Vijay, Raj Priyan and Mathialaghan in key roles. The earlier single ‘Aathi Iva Yaraa’ gave fans a first taste of the soundtrack before this second drop.

The tone has invited comparison to Madhavan’s Aavesham, which also built its energy around a distinctive central performance and offbeat humour. Sushin Shyam’s music forms another link, with the title teaser carrying a punchy theme that matches the protagonist’s unpredictability.

Suriya after Scene

Suriya was last seen in Vishwanath & Sons, the Venky Atluri-directed romantic drama co-starring Mamitha Baiju, now streaming on Netflix. After Scene, he moves to the tentatively titled SuriyaXHombale (Suriya48), directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Hombale Films, with Kayadu Lohar and Yogi Babu also in the cast.

For now, ‘Aeroplane’ is the newest reason for fans to rewatch the teaser and mark the Diwali date. The single frames Inbaraj’s romance as a major part of the fun, and it gives the film’s pre-release campaign another hook ahead of November 6.
