The 31-year-old singer-actor Rita Ora will portray “a fugitive with remarkable skills who holds a secret that may possibly damage a whole kingdom,” according to Collider.
The storey takes place in the years leading up to the epic romance between the Beast and Belle in the renowned kingdom of Beauty and the Beast. Gaston (Luke Evans) and LeFou (Josh Gad) embark on a journey that is somehow linked to the history of LeFou’s step-sister Tilly (Briana Middleton).
Rita will be featured with Luke Evans and Josh Gad, who will reprise their roles as Gaston and LeFo, Briana Middleton as Tilly, Jelani Alladin as artist Jean-Michel, and Hawkeye star, among others.
Along with Edward Kitsis as well as Adam Horowitz, Josh Gad will act as the series’ co-showrunner.
Liesl Tommy, who would also serve as that of an executive producer with Josh Gad and Luke Evans, will direct the series’ pilot. Alan Menken, who composed the score for both the 2017 feature and the original Academy Award-winning animated picture from 1991, will indeed write the series’ soundtrack as well as act as an executive producer.
Disney Branded Television and ABC Signature present Beauty and the Beast. The series’ production is set to begin in the spring of 2022.
Rita Ora has previously starred in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, Fast & Furious, Southpaw, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu,” and “Twist,” among other films.
