Nora Fatehi has wowed us with her incredible dance movements and equally lovely appearance throughout the years. For her upcoming song, ‘Dance Meri Rani,’ she transforms into a mermaid in a dramatic makeover alongside Guru Randhawa.
Director Bosco Leslie Martis came up with the idea for the new dance tune with this fresh style. Rashmi wrote the lyrics, Tanishk Bagchi created the music, and Guru Randhawa and Zahrah S Khan sang the vocals.
Jonathon Mario of La Sirena, a renowned artist who specialises in mythological clothes that merge realism and imagination, designed and handcrafted the mermaid costume. The one-of-a-kind outfit was custom-made inside the United States and took three months to finish.
Nora Fatehi took about 2 hours to get into the mermaid appearance, which was part of the task. Nora had to use a special adhesive every time she put on the costume, which was made of cutting-edge latex and silicon. Nora was physically exhausted by the dress, which weighed over 15 kilogrammes as well as took a toll on her knees and feet throughout the hours of shooting. This was especially difficult underwater, when the weight of the outfit just seems to practically double.
Nora says of the hurdles she faced when filming the track, “I think mermaids are so mystical. As soon as I put on that outfit, I realized that it looks beautiful, but it was extremely difficult to handle. I had to look beautiful and glamorous while facing the camera, but it was tough to shoot like that. I would be in pain and cry for help. Once in the costume, there was no way I could move by myself.”
T-Series presents Guru Randhawa’s ‘Dance Meri Rani,’ which also stars Zahrah S Khan and is produced by Bhushan Kumar. Tanishk Bagchi composed and wrote the song, which was choreographed by Bosco Martis and will be released shortly on T-Series’ YouTube account.
