Armaan Malik’s Sabar: Dream Big Without Feeling Behind
Armaan Malik's 'Sabar' from Salim-Sulaiman's Bhoomi 2026 turns patience, gratitude and appreciation into a counter to comparison culture.

Armaan Malik’s new release is not built around a party drop or a viral hook. ‘Sabar’, the latest track from Salim–Sulaiman’s Bhoomi 2026, rests on three quieter words: sabr, shukar and qadar — patience, gratitude and appreciation.
Composed by Salim–Sulaiman, written by Shraddha Pandit and sung by Armaan Malik, the song arrives at a moment when feeds double as leaderboards. Its message is pointed but gentle: you can want more without deciding that where you stand right now is not enough.
A vocal challenge, a personal thread
Armaan said the track drew him in for its musicality and the thought at its centre. Singing for the Bhoomi project stretched him, and he calls the result a career high point. “I genuinely feel it is one of my best songs vocally. It is music I can be proud of years from now,” he said.
The patience message is not abstract for him. Armaan ties it directly to his own long game in original music. “I’ve had dreams that I’ve carried for years, especially with my own original music, so I connect with that reminder to keep believing and trust the journey,” he added.
Why the message lands now
Comparison has become a default scroll behaviour. Milestones arrive non-stop, and it is easy to conclude that everyone else is racing ahead. Armaan’s argument is that individual timelines make those comparisons misleading.
“It is very easy to feel that someone else is racing ahead, especially when you can see everyone’s achievements all the time,” he said. “Patience helps you make peace with that, while gratitude reminds you to appreciate what you already have.”
That is the heart of ‘Sabar’. Ambition and acceptance are not opposites; you can chase a goal for years and still be grateful for the present.
What the track asks listeners to do
- Pause before measuring progress against someone else’s timeline
- Keep long-term dreams without treating today as a failure
- Notice what is already good, even when plans stall
Armaan summed up the tension in one line: “You can still have big dreams without feeling that where you are today is not enough.”
Bhoomi 2026’s season of reflection
‘Sabar’ is part of Bhoomi 2026, the seventh season of Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant’s annual independent music initiative. The project has built its identity on music that connects through personal experience, and this track continues that with a theme of acceptance rather than urgency.
Armaan’s hope for ‘Sabar’ is a reset, not a pep talk. “I hope ‘Sabar’ gives people a moment to pause and feel a little more at peace with where they are,” he said. For anyone whose plans have gone sideways, he adds, the wish is that the song helps them trust their journey and recognise the good still present.
That framing — patience as a strength, gratitude as a practice — is what makes ‘Sabar’ feel less like advice and more like a shared reminder from an artist still figuring out his own path.
