Yaadon Ki Baaraat

Yaadon Ki Baaraat is indeed a Bollywood masala movie directed by Nasir Hussain as well as written by Salim–Javed that was released in 1973. (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar). It starred Dharmendra, Vijay Arora, Tariq, Zeenat Aman, Neetu Singh, as well as Ajit inside an ensemble cast.

The movie had a significant impact on Indian cinema. It is often regarded as the first masala movie, as it incorporates aspects of action, drama, romance, musical, criminal, as well as thriller genres.

The masala genre went on to become India’s most popular great movie, and Yaadon Ki Baaraat was dubbed “the first” truly “Bollywood” movie.

This also launched the careers from several actors, serving as that of the commercial groundbreaking Bollywood movie for Zeenat Aman as well as Neetu Singh, who went towards becoming leading ladies of the 1970s, as well as the debut movie for Nasir Hussain’s nephews Tariq Khan as well as Aamir Khan, the latter a child actor who went on to become one of Hindi movie’s biggest stars.

The Hindi soundtrack, written by music director R.D. Burman, has still been remembered affectionately. Later remakes included Naalai Namadhe in Tamil, Annadammula Anubandham in Telugu, as well as Himam in Malayalam.

Shankar, Vijay, and Ratan, three brothers, begin the movie by celebrating their father’s birthday along with their mother as well as maid. The mother performs the song Yaadon ki Baarat, which she sings each year and which is what the boys adore. Later, the father leaves the house. Upon that way, he sees a robbery committed by Shakal and his associates.

Shakal realises that even if the father reports this to the authorities, he would be in danger, so he chooses to murder him before taking any more action. Shakal and his minions later break inside the home and kill the father.

Hearing the ruckus, the mother goes to investigate, only to discover her husband dead. Shakal also shoots her. Shankar and Vijay are witnesses to the incident and flee. They arrive at a train station, wherein Shankar is able to board a train. He attempts to drag Vijay along with him, but they become separated. Shankar spends his time begging since he has nowhere else to go. He encounters Usman, a child who, like him, spends all his time stealing food from stores to satisfy his hunger.

The maid goes to the police station as well as reports Vijay and Shankar missing. The maid chooses to adopt Ratan after consulting with both the police. Vijay was discovered unconscious by the groundskeeper of a posh home. Nasir Hussain’s nephew Aamir Khan, who went to become one of Bollywood’s most prominent actors, had his acting debut as a child artist in this movie, starring in the theme song just at age of eight.
