Why you shouldn’t watch the Bollywood movie ‘Ishq Vishk’ in 2021?

Ishq Vishk

While Ishq Vishk, starring Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, and Shehnaz Treasury, was premiered in 2003, creator Ken Ghosh said it’s not a particularly profound movie. We assume he meant it to justify all of his sexism, obvious objectification of women, and foolish romance teachings that celebrated patriarchal ideas. It was entertaining to watch the picture about 20 years ago, but now it suddenly feels troublesome in 2021. What’s more, there’s a reason for it.

Payal, the meek sanskari girl that spent much of their life inside the ‘friend zone,’ is fasting for Rajeev on Karva Chauth. We understand that the occasion occupies a particular way into the hearts of most wedded Women in India, but fast for their college boyfriend, seriously!?

Then there’s her life motto: “If you love someone, set them free.” They’re well if they return to you. They weren’t even if you can’t understand… Move on, people! Payal, nor Rajeev, was the one who required a love expert within this film! What a load of rubbish! Now let’s talk about her aspirations. The journey to Alibaug marks a watershed moment in their relationship with Rajeev. What did she expect from a trip with her sex-hungry lover, who got laid by climbing pipes and windows? Rajeev and Mambo have a habit of hitting on their housekeepers! Payal’s naivete is astounding, and the filmmaker weakened her characterization by having her confess following hitting her lover appropriately. He earned that smack, and he got it.

Let us now turn our focus to ‘Ishq Vishk’ Rajeev, who is a complete idiot. He tries to force himself on their ‘pativrata’ lover initially, would then become enraged as she rejects him. Worst of all, he defends his conduct by claiming to be a lover rather than a rate ka mawali. What’s up, buddy! He continues. He expects Payal to kiss him in front of everyone when she genuinely says sorry (for God knows what!). The bravado!

Eventually, after such a lot of rona-dhona, he goes on to the next huge thing at college. Alisha, the careless, revealingly clad Chika, steps forward! But by this point, we’ve learned that no one, and we mean no one, would marry Rajeev. But, much like Payal, Alisha made the wrong choice in men.
