Why is the Bollywood film ‘Kai Po Che’ a good watch? Check it yourself

This Hindi film Kai Po Che! is based on a novel by Chetan Bhagat. He claims that it is on par with 3 Idiots.

Chetan Bhagat told in an interview that, “That (comparisons) will happen. (The film) 3 Idiots was also made (based) on a book… But if you watch 3 Idiots and Kai Po Che! together, you will not feel that one is lower than the other. Both are equal. I would say, Kai Po Che! has been made as well as 3 Idiots.”

Chetan Bhagat’s novel “The 3 Mistakes of my Life” has been adapted for the big screen as Kai Po Che!. Kai Po Che!, which was officially launched at the Berlin International Film Festival, has wowed the author.

It is a movie set in Ahmedabad from 2000 to 2012 about best friend, Ishaan “Ish” Bhatt (Rajput), Omkar “Omi” Shastri (Sadh), and Govind “Govi” Patel (Rao), who would like to open their possess sports shop as well as academy. It also deals with the 2001 Gujarat earthquake, this same 2002 Godhra railroad fire, as well as the 2002 Gujarat riots. The close relationship is chronicled throughout the movie, as is their purity, which has been tainted by religious strife and community hate. On February 13, 2013, the movie made its global debut just at 63rd Berlin International Film Festival, when it’s the first Indian Motion picture to be included in the Worldwide Premiere category.

The movie was officially released on February 22, 2013, with such a production cost of $300 million (US$4.2 million) and received good reviews among Indian critics, but conflicting reports from Western critics, with an appreciation for Kapoor’s directing and the acting of Rao, Sadh, and Rajput. The movie was a critical and economic success, grossing $830 million (US$12 million) globally.
