Karan Johar, often known as KJo, is indeed an Indian filmmaker as well as television personality best known for his work in Bollywood films. Through his own Dharma Productions, he has started the careers of numerous successful performers. He has received several awards, along with a National Film Award and six Filmfare Awards, and then in 2020, the Government of India will bestow the Padma Shri, the country’s fourth-highest civilian honour.
He made his directorial debut through Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a romantic comedy-drama that garnered him the National Film Award for Best Popular Movie Providing Wholesome Entertainment, the Filmfare Award for Best Director, as well as the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay.

Together with the several popular movies he has produced underneath the Dharma Productions label, he had distinguished himself as being one of Hindi cinema’s leading directors and producers. He was awarded the Padma Shri award, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, in 2020.
Johar also has dabbled with other aspects of the entertainment sector with success. He presents Koffee with Karan, a dating programme What the Love!, as well as a radio show Called Karan, as well as serving as just a judge on competitive reality series Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, India’s Got Talent, as well as India’s Next Superstars.
Johar is the son of Yash Johar, the founder of Dharma Productions, as well as Hiroo Johar, and also was born in Bombay, India (now Mumbai). From his father’s side, he possesses Punjabi Hindu heritage, while from his mother’s side, he had Sindhi Hindu lineage. Greenlawns High School was his alma mater.
