Raya and the Last Dragon, Disney’s 59th new movie, is speculated to be the next instalment inside the Disney Princess series. There isn’t much information available about this movie yet, since it is slated to be released on March 12, 2021. The tale will actually occur inside the fictitious nation of Kumandra, with the eponymous hero Raya searching for the final dragon in the realm, according to the limited information that was provided to the public.
Cassie Steele and Awkwafina are the only two actors on the call sheet that have been confirmed thus far. Steele is most recognised for her work on “Degrassi: The Next Generation” (2001), while Awkwafina is best known for her roles in “Jumanji: The Next Level” (2019) and “Crazy Rich Asians” (2019). (2018).
“Raya and the Last Dragon” looks to be in capable hands, since filmmakers Dean Wellins and Paul Briggs have previously collaborated on blockbuster Disney films including “Frozen” (2013) and “Big Hero 6.” (2014).
Fans suspected that “Raya and the Last Dragon” will be animated in two dimensions based on early concept images provided to the public (2D). The majority of Disney’s original films, particularly those from the 1990s’ so-called Princess Renaissance Era, were made utilising 2D animation.
Disney princess movies have almost completely used three-dimensional (3D), or “computer,” animation since their arguably “second” Renaissance Era began with 2011’s “Tangled.”
