Theatrical rights of Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey is bought by Jayantilal Gada

Jersey, helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju, S.Naga Vamsi, as well as starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapur, will be released on December 31, 2021, featuring music by Sachet & Parmpara.

Following his hit film Kabir Singh, this really is Shahid Kapoor’s next big release. Jersey started filming two years ago, and owing to the epidemic, the creators delayed the cinema release until it was safe for fans to see it in theatres first, as was intended.

The movie, which would be a remake of both the financially popular as well as National award-winning Telugu movie Jersey, has indeed been eagerly anticipated by both audiences and industry insiders because of what magic director Gowtam Tinnanuri, as well as Shahid Kapoor, have had in store for Hindi moviegoers. With all that in view, the producers have opted to team up alongside Balaji Telefilms as well as Pen Marudhar again for the movie’s All India Theatrical distribution.

Producer Aman Gill comments on this development, saying, “After a long wait we are excited to be releasing our film Jersey in theatres and we feel there is no better partner than Balaji Telefilms & Pen Marudhar to achieve the best release for our film.”

Balaji Telefilms’ Managing Director, Ekta Kapoor, states, “A film like Jersey deserves a theatre viewing experience and it is exciting that we are able to bring forth this for the audience.”

Pen Marudhar’s Dr Jayantilal Gada says, “The content of this film is worthy of big showcasing in theatres, and we are glad to have this opportunity to associate and release a great film.”
