Siddharth Nigam Was First Choice for Azaad, Not Aaman Devgan — Here’s What Went Wrong

Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan may be the face of Azaad, but the original pick was Hai Junoon star Siddharth Nigam. Siddharth’s mother revealed in an interview that they were approached, heard the full script, and waited nearly two years—only to later discover the film had gone ahead without them.

Siddharth found out when he saw the film’s poster starring Aaman and Rasha Thadani (Raveena Tandon’s daughter). His mother admitted it was the first time she felt deeply disappointed, hinting at star privilege playing a role.

Though hurt, Siddharth accepted the change, calling it a moment of clarity. “No one is to blame, it’s part of the business,” he shared. The film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor.
