On Monday, almost four months after the first trailer for Jersey was released, Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur released the second trailer. The two made an appearance at the launch ceremony and did so in style. Jersey is finally hitting theatres this month, following repeated release announcements and delays.
While the first video offered a look into Vidya and Arjun’s lives, the second teaser delves more into Shahid alias Arjun’s cricket career. “Blood, sweat, emotions, and a whole lot of love!” Shahid said on social media on announcing the trailer for Jersey.
Shahid Kapoor, who plays Arjun, portrays a father to a young kid who aspires to play cricket professionally in the teaser. Arjun, on the other hand, battles with his own background as a failed cricketer while navigating his married life while unemployed. The first trailer was a huge hit, and it appears that the second one will be as well.
Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur also appears in the movie, and the father-son combination will be seen onscreen together for the first time. Jersey, starring Shahid and Mrunal, is a Hindi adaptation of the Telugu film version. The film will be released in theatres on April 14th.
