Shahid Kapoor hasn’t been seen on the big screen in a long time. The Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor was set to release his much-anticipated film Jersey, starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur, in December of last year. However, the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic disrupted the plans, and the film was postponed just as it was about to be released in theatres. While the film’s release date has been set for April 14, 2022, Shahid Kapoor has come up with a creative strategy to promote his sports drama.
The Kabir Singh actor shared a lovely photo of himself on Instagram. Shahid was spotted wearing a cream-colored jacket with a grey t-shirt. He complemented his ensemble with fashionable sunglasses, a cap, and a stubbled appearance. In the caption, he asked for fan recommendations on how to promote the film once more. Shahid penned, “So how does one promote the same film a second time?? Any suggestions?”
For those unfamiliar, the Gowtam Tinnanuri-directed film is a remake of the National Award-winning film Jersey, which starred Nani and Shraddha Srinath. Jersey will be Shahid’s first collaboration with Mrunal, and the film’s songs are already causing a stir among fans. The film will compete with Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s KGF Chapter 2 at the box office.
