Saajan Chale Sasural: All you should know about this classic movie

Govinda, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu, Kader Khan, and Satish Kaushik feature in Saajan Chale Sasural, a 1996 Hindi-language rom-com movie. David Dhawan directed the film. This is a replica of a Tamil movie Allari Mogudu as well as the Bangladeshi movie Asha Bhalobasha, which was released in 1995. New Délire, a French dubbing spoof of this movie, was launched in 2007. Saajan Chale Sasural was indeed a financial triumph, as well as the Indian Express named it the second among the top five “super-hits” in 1996.

Shyamsunder (Govinda) is a young peasant with a passion for music. He arrives at the city and meets Muthuswami (Satish Kaushik), a tabla musician from South India. Khurana (Kader Khan), the chairman of the TIPS tape firm, is intrigued by his musical skills and raises him to a prominent position. When he returns to the hamlet to settle his obligations, he hears awful news of his wife Pooja’s (Karisma Kapoor) death inside a storm. He later married Divya, Khurana’s daughter (Tabu). Shyamsunder discovers his “presumed dead” wife Pooja inside the hospital after Khurana suffers a cardiac arrest.

Nadeem-Shravan composed the soundtrack with this film. “Tum To Dhokebaj Ho” and “Dil Jaan Jigar Tujh Pe Nisaar” become well-known songs. Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Poornima, Vinod Rathod, Kunal Ganjawala, and Satyanarayan Mishra are one of the singers that contributed to a record.

Trivia-

  • This movie was presented to Nadeem Shravan, but he declined. They informed the producers that they’d never be writing any cheap tunes with multiple meanings. The soundtrack would’ve been pure, according to the producer.
  • In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the movie was released in theatres. The Raja Cinema, situated at 639 Commercial Drive, hosted the movie’s premiere.
