Ranbir Kapoor reveals how Rishi Kapoor’s last film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen,’ was filmed

Rishi Kapoor, the veteran actor, has been dead for over two years. His untimely death undoubtedly left a hole in the entertainment business. When he died, he was in the middle of filming for his film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen.’ However, actor Paresh Rawal stepped in to finish the film in his place and now Ranbir Kapoor comes forward to explain the whole process. The film will be released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on March 31, according to the creators.

The trailer for the film will be released tomorrow, according to Ranbir Kapoor. He also revealed how his father’s final film was finished, thanking Paresh Rawal for filling in following his father’s untimely death.

Ranbir Kapoor gave a sweet message to fans in a video released by Farhan Akhtar, saying, “The show must go on.” He claimed that after Rishi Kapoor’s untimely death, the filmmakers experimented with visual effects. They even forced Ranbir Kapoor to attempt prosthetics in order to finish the movie, but it didn’t work out. Later, veteran actor Paresh Rawal stepped in to bring Rishi Kapoor’s final film to a satisfactory ending. Ranbir expressed his gratitude for Paresh Rawal’s kindness.

He went on to say, “Sharmaji Namkeen will always be my one of the most fondest memories of my father. Up on screen, bringing a smile to his countless fans.”

Ranbir asked fans to see his father’s film in the video and disclosed that the teaser will be published tomorrow. Apart from Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, Juhi Chawla will play a pivotal role in Sharmaji Namkeen.
