Ramayana Trailer Launch Today: A Five-Language Epic Goes Global

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash gather in Bengaluru for the international trailer launch of Nitesh Tiwari's two-part Ramayana, out on November 5.

Ramayana's Five-Language Global Trailer Push Starts Today

Bengaluru is the centre of the Indian film world today, October 15, as the team behind Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana gathers to launch the international trailer. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Rocking Star Yash, Ravi Dubey, composer A.R. Rahman and director Nitesh Tiwari are expected to attend along with other cast and crew.

The event is hosted by Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. It also marks the beginning of Sony Pictures’ international campaign for the two-part epic, ahead of the first instalment’s worldwide theatrical release.

Why this launch matters

For fans, this is the first major glimpse of how the adaptation has been mounted. The film opens worldwide on November 5, 2026, with a second part set for Diwali 2027. It will release across India in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film will also be presented in IMAX.

International distribution outside India sits with Sony Pictures, while Dharma Productions handles the Hindi-speaking market. That split signals how seriously the producers are treating the title as a global theatrical event, not just a domestic release.

The cast and scale

Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, with Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash takes on Ravana, while Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman and Sunny Deol appears as Hanuman. A.R. Rahman is associated with the music.

The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. The Bengaluru event is expected to show the scale and visual treatment of the adaptation before it reaches theatres next month.

Release plan at a glance

  • First part: worldwide release on November 5, 2026.
  • Second part: Diwali 2027.
  • Languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
  • Formats: IMAX presentation included.
  • Distribution: Sony Pictures internationally, Dharma Productions in the Hindi-speaking market.

Today’s Bengaluru event is more than a trailer drop. It is the opening move in a global distribution plan, and the first proper signal of what the two-part Ramayana will look like on the big screen.
