The Bollywood movie industry is dripping with announcements! The Hindi cinema industry has been revealing the release schedule of respective movies less than a day after Maharashtra’s state government has declared their plan to resume cinemas on October 22. Akshay Kumar, who may have the most movies on his resume, has secured the position for Diwali 2021 as well as 2022 with Ram Setu.
Following the news of Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi’s Diwali release in the year, the actor has now revealed that the next movie Ram Setu would be released on Diwali 2022. Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrratt Bharuccha also appear in Abhishek Sharma’s flick.
Akshay Kumar will play an archaeologist inside the movie, that his first glance was released earlier in the year.
Ram Setu will be co-produced by Amazon Prime Video, Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, as well as Lyca Productions. The movie is indeed an action thriller helmed by Abhishek Sharma as well as produced by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. It tells a narrative that’s also strongly entrenched in Indian natural and heritage history.
The movie’s formal statement was released on November 14, 2020, while the main filming started on March 30, 2021. However, the movie’s production has been suspended after Akshay Kumar tested positive for COVID-19 on April 4, 2021.
