Ram-Leela: All you need to know about this Blockbuster movie

Goliyon Ki Raasleela is a Hindi film directed by Goliyon Ki Raasleela Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela, or simply Ram-Leela is a 2013 Bollywood Hindi-language tragic romance movie directed by Bhansali, who not only created the movie’s original music. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh star in the movie, which was co-produced by Bhansali and Kishore Lulla of Eros International. Supriya Pathak, Richa Chadda, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, and Abhimanyu Singh are among the supporting cast members. In the track “Ram Chahe Leela,” Priyanka Chopra makes a guest appearance.

Bhansali created Ram-Leela during preparing for his directorial debut, Khamoshi: The Musical, which was delayed due to a lack of funding. Padukone and Singh were selected inside the lead parts when the movie was revived in 2012, beating out a number of other contenders. The majority of the filming took place in Gujarat prior to travelling to Rajasthan. Despite prior efforts to avoid it, most of the filming took place on sets. Monty Sharma provided the music for the film, whereas Siddharth–Garima wrote the lyrics.

The release date of the movie, which was set for November 15, 2013, was postponed by the Delhi High Court. In reaction to a court ruling, the movie’s title changed to Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, enabling this to be released just on the planned date.

It garnered good reviews, with special acclaim for the cast members’ performances, notably Singh and Padukone. The storyline and violent parts of the film drew a great deal of criticism. Ram-Leela grossed a total of 220.58 crores in theatres, making it the sixth highest-grossing Indian movie of 2013 and is one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies ever.

So at Filmfare Awards, Ram-Leela earned eight nominations, winning three of them, such as the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Padukone as well as the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Pathak. It was nominated for nine International Indian Film Academy Awards, notably Best Film, as well as won two.
