Rahul is indeed a Bollywood movie directed by Prakash Jha as well as produced by Subhash Ghai that was released in 2001. Neha Bajpai, Jatin Grewal, Rajeshwari Sachdev, as well as Master Yash play the major characters in the movie.
Mira (Neha Bajpai) is from a rich family, but she wants to marry Akash Sharma (Jatin Grewal), who is not. Mira marries Akash against her mother’s (Neena Kulkarni) and brother’s desires. Akash and Mira go on a journey of love. Mira’s family forgives them once Rahul (Master Yash) is born. Akash owns and operates his own travel agency. He is committed to his job, but he will not make money by cheating.
Akash grants Mira permission to invite her family to Rahul’s first birthday party. Mira’s family arrives at the site, and Mira’s brother Rohit (Manish Wadhwa) abuses Akash to his core. This enrages Akash, who lashes out at Rohit. Mira requests that Akash apologise to her brother, but he refuses. Mira is forcibly removed from Akash by her relatives. She also had to say goodbye to her son Rahul. Mira is compelled to give Akash custody of her only kid until he is at least five years old when Akash and Mira are divorced in court, afraid that Akash would end her life in the absence of Rahul. Rahul, who had been living with his father for so long, misses his mother terribly.
His father has instilled in him the belief that his mother is a terrible person. However, he learns through Uncle John (Gulshan Grover) that Mira is a very good girl who lives alongside her parents in Mahabaleshwar. Rahul discreetly meets her and discovers that his mother is really kind and compassionate towards him. Rahul and Mira have continued to meet in secret. Meanwhile, Rahul is frequently sick, prompting others, including the family doctor, to urge that Akash marry Sheila for a second time (Rajeshwari Sachdev). Sheila is also concerned about Rahul. Although Akash initially resists, he finally agrees for Rahul’s sake.
Sheila is attractive to Rahul, but he is unable to accept her as his mother. Mira learns that Akash is planning his second wedding. Mira’s parents want her to marry Naveen as well (Mahesh Thakur).
Akash discovers Mira and Rahul’s communication one day. He makes the child confess his hatred for Mira. Rahul’s mind is drenched with rain and becomes ill as a result of this. As a result, Akash and Mira arrive at the hospital to face one another.
Mira suddenly understands that her family had always been greedy and that Akash was not to blame. Following Rahul’s treatment, the two get together for Rahul’s sake.
