Prahaar Final Box Office: Rs 19.50 Crore
Rajkummar Rao's legal drama Prahaar is set to end its theatrical run at Rs 19.50 crore nett after a 65% second-week drop. Full India break-up.

Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam is expected to finish its India theatrical run with a nett total of Rs 19.50 crore. For a Rajkummar Rao-led courtroom drama, the number is a muted one – the film never converted its first-week interest into a long stay.
A steep second-week slide
The legal drama, directed by Avinash Arun, opened softly but collected Rs 13 crore in its opening week. Week two added just Rs 4.50 crore, a drop of 65 per cent. The third week is estimated at Rs 2 crore, taking the total to Rs 19.50 crore nett.
With Ramayana hitting cinemas this weekend, Prahaar is already collecting in lakhs and will be pushed out of most screens.
Why the run stalled
Box office trackers at Pinkvilla point to a simple issue: the film did not land with audiences strongly enough to build word of mouth. A positive reception could have given it a healthier second and third week, but the 65 per cent fall shows that repeat and new footfall were limited.
For an industry that often reads the opening weekend as the whole story, Prahaar is a useful cautionary case. The first seven days were not disastrous, but the second-week drop told the real story. A legal drama survives on conversations and recommendations, and those did not build quickly enough to keep it in cinemas.
What the film is about
Prahaar follows an attorney navigating a challenging, high-profile case while dealing with professional pressure and strained family relationships. It leans on evidence, strategy and principle as the protagonist fights for justice inside a system that makes the battle personal.
Alongside Rajkummar Rao, the cast includes Lalit Prabhakar, Jaideep Ahlawat, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sikandar Kher, Nassar, Tarun Sharma, Ritvik Sahore, Prasanna Ketkar, Ajinkya Deo and Pranali Ghogare.
What viewers should know
If you planned to catch Prahaar on the big screen, this is effectively your final window. Once Ramayana occupies the available screens this weekend, the film’s theatrical run is likely to end.
- Week 1: Rs 13 crore nett
- Week 2: Rs 4.50 crore nett (down 65%)
- Week 3 (estimated): Rs 2 crore nett
- Final total: Rs 19.50 crore nett
The box office figures are trade estimates, not final certified accounts, and they can vary slightly as actuals come in. What is clear is that the film’s theatrical window is closing.
