Prabhas’s Birthday Brings a Fauzi World-Building Glimpse
A special Fauzi video drops on Prabhas's October 23 birthday, unveiling the period war drama's world, his soldier's arc and a select theatre look.

Prabhas is turning his birthday into a first proper look at Fauzi. On Friday, October 23, the makers of the period action drama will drop a special video designed to open up the world of the film and give fans a sense of the soldier he plays.
A birthday window into Fauzi’s world
The asset is not being positioned as a full-scale teaser. It is a world-building piece that introduces the story, the message and the basic information fans need to understand what Hanu Raghavapudi’s film is setting out to do.
Producer Ravi Shankar framed the video simply. “The special video unveils Fauzi’s story, what the film is about, and the message it carries. The video gives basic information about the film,” he told Filmfare.
He also kept expectations grounded. “Please don’t expect huge things on the scale of Baahubali,” he added. The same glimpse will be screened in select theatres, so fans can take in the world-building on a big screen.
Prabhas as a battle-worn soldier
Fauzi places Prabhas in the 1940s, reportedly as a courageous and battle-worn soldier and officer in the Azad Hind Fauj, the Indian National Army, during colonial-era India. The story is said to explore hidden chapters of the freedom struggle rather than simply using the period as backdrop.
The team has previously said his character’s design and emotional arc are inspired by classic epic warriors. That means the glimpse may lean into who the man is, not just what battle he fights: a blend of Arjuna’s skill, Karna’s sacrifice and Ekalavya’s devotion.
Why the birthday drop matters
Prabhas’s birthday has become a fan moment in its own right, and a controlled reveal is a smart way to reward that attention. After the global scale of Baahubali, the team appears to be setting expectations carefully, trading spectacle talk for story and character.
For followers of Fauzi, this is the first practical window into a film that has stayed largely under wraps. A theatre screening also turns a social-media asset into a communal experience, which suits the emotional, patriotic register of the story.
What to watch for
Do not go in expecting a full trailer or a VFX showcase. The video is meant to establish tone and context. Watch for:
- How the film builds its 1940s world
- The emotional arc of Prabhas’s soldier
- What the makers choose to say about the freedom struggle
The first look may be brief, but it should tell us what kind of war drama Fauzi wants to be.
