Mohanlal Starts Shoot for Anoop Sathyan’s L368 in Thodupuzha

Mohanlal has started shooting for director Anoop Sathyan’s next, tentatively titled L368, and a short behind-the-scenes clip from the set has given fans an early peek at the collaboration.

A first look at the set

The video shows Mohanlal arriving in a simple shirt and dhoti and being welcomed by producer Antony Perumbavoor. Anoop Sathyan is visible coordinating with the crew, while Mohanlal chats with team members about the day’s work. He closes the clip by wrapping for the day and telling the unit he will see them the next day.

The schedule has already shifted from Kochi, where a pooja was held last week, to Thodupuzha. Antony Perumbavoor and Bibin George Alexander are producing.

Why this pairing matters

For Anoop Sathyan, the film is personal. He made his debut in 2020 with Varane Aavashyamundu, and L368 is only his second feature as a director. At the pooja ceremony, his father, veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, described how deeply his son admired Mohanlal while growing up.

“When I asked him where he was going, he replied that he was going to Mohanlal’s house,” Sathyan Anthikad recalled.

That childhood fandom now turns into a professional milestone: Anoop is directing the actor he once wanted to visit at home.

L368 adds to a busy slate for the actor. He recently appeared briefly in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, and Athimanoharam is expected in theatres next month. With L368 now filming, fans have another Malayalam release to track.
