Mela

Dharmesh Darshan helmed Mela, a 2000 Bollywood action masala movie. Aamir Khan, his real-life brother Faisal Khan, and Twinkle Khanna appear in the Mela movie.

The Plot of the Mela movie-

Roopa’s (Twinkle Khanna’s) sole military brother (Ayub Khan) comes to Chandanpur hamlet to organize her wedding. The delight of Roopa’s wedding is celebrated with a celebration, but Chandanpur’s joy is short-lived when the hamlet is invaded by a bunch of terrorists. Gujjar (Tinu Verma), the insurgents’ commander, kills a visiting politician, and to make things worst, Roopa’s beauty captures Gujjar’s eye.

Gujjar’s sibling rushes to her assistance as she tries to flee with scared Roopa, only to be murdered, often to the dismay of the community, notably Roopa. Gopal (Master Om Kapoor), her best friend, is also slain, much to the dismay of Gopal’s mother (Tanvi Azmi), who tried to dissuade her son from rescuing Roopa (due to his young age), which caused Gujjar to kill him. Roopa swears revenge because her brother and Gopal are no longer alive.

Roopa is threatened by Gujjar, who says she would only be his mistress and would never have a sibling or boyfriend. Roopa, enraged, commits suicide by jumping into a waterfall, believing that it is preferable to be a mistress to kill herself. Roopa lives and takes the clothing of Kishan (Aamir Khan), a theatrical actor, as fate has it. Shankar, Kishan’s best buddy and a truck driver, is his coworker (Faisal Khan). After Kishan first sees Roopa, he is captivated by her beauty and finds love for her. Roopa is chosen as the heroine of their dance presentation by Kishan, but Shankar cautions them that Roopa would get them into problems. Roopa has had no choice but to travel with them, and she attempts to flee but is pursued by the gang as well as a drunk that attempts to assault her.

Shankar and Kishan, on the other hand, save Roopa. Roopa pretends to be in love with Kishan, who wishes to marry her, and the two guys agree to assist her in returning to Chandanpur. When Kishan is about to marry Roopa, she tells them her tale since she feels bad about her treachery.

Shankar becomes her brother, whereas Kishan flees in disgust, devastated. Roopa and Shankar return to Chandanpur, wherein Shankar attempts to mobilise the village in order to lay a trap for Gujjar, who already has learned of Roopa’s survival and is terrorising the community in order to find her. The plan backfires spectacularly until Kishan reappears with Pakkad Singh, a suspended policeman (Johny Lever).

With some other carnival, the trap is reset, as well as the criminal’s attack as planned. Roopa is abducted, and Kishan and Shankar pursue her, only to be apprehended and transported to Gujjar’s hideaway, in which they must battle him and his soldiers. Now with the advent of the residents of Chandanpur, good triumphs, as well as the terrorists, suffer a grisly end. Shankar, Roopa’s brother, and Kishan, her boyfriend, are reunited.

Kishan and Roopa marry within the finale, and Shankar meets Champakali (Aishwarya Rai) while travelling the truck, which Kishan and Roopa see.
